BRECKENRIDGE - SUMMER FUN WITH THE KIDS
Thinking of getting away from the congestion and the heat of the city. Come to Breckenridge!! Bring yourself and the kids. Last summer my girlfriend came up with her two grandchildren both under 10 years of age and I wondered what the heck would we do. There was no need to worry!! We found the PEAK 8 FUN PARK IN BRECKENRIDGE. It is very easy to get to, you can park in the ski area parking lots by the bus terminal and take a free bus ride up to the park or take the one and only BRECKENRIDGE GONDOLA up to the park.
Once you get to the park the fun begins. First we went down the Alpine Slide FUN, FUN & MORE FUN!! We, meaning the older folks of the foursome went slow, but the kids just buzzed by us, they enjoyed it immensely. After we did the slide twice it was off to the Super Bungee Trampoline, and I must say that I really enjoyed watching the kids bounce high in the sky, the looks are their faces were priceless. Next was the Colorado's Largest Human Maze and that also was a big hit. Other things to do and which we did, are Super Putt Mini Golf, Ripperoo's Bounce House and ended with Gemstone Panning.
After all the fun we rested, ate lunch and marveled the beauty of THE TEN MILE RANGE THAT BRECKENRIDGE IS SO KNOWN FOR. Then the real struggle of the day began, the kids did not want to leave, but we won the battle, and took the free bus ride back to town.
After the rest, we walked Main Street Breckenridge and enjoyed ice cream cones from one the many sweet shops. The kids found glow in the dark tee-shirts (which they had to have) and then off to home, where we proceeded to turn on music and play air guitar and dance on the deck. By the end of this day we all were ready for bed, no problems getting them to sleep.
